Seniors - Important Before You Graduate (Complete Two Tasks)

Before you graduate, you must submit the Senior Post Graduation Plans form and let us know how you are requesting your final transcript.  The final transcript is the one colleges use to place you in classes and is sent after your 2nd semester grades have been officially posted.  Click the Senior Post Graduation Plans Form link to submit the form.  Due Date: May 4, 2020

In addition the state requires that you complete a Senior Exit Survey.  This will be completed through Naviance, which you access through Class Link - https://launchpad.classlink.com/fcs.  For instructions, ​click this link to access the step-by-step .pdf.   Due date: May 8, 2020

Georgia Gwinnett College Free Application Week

Georgia Gwinnett College will be waiving its application fee starting April 15 – 22nd! You can apply for free during this period! The application deadline for Fall 2020 is June 1st. As a reminder, Georgia Gwinnett College is a four-year state college located in Lawrenceville, GA – just 30 minutes northeast of downtown Atlanta. We are a growing campus with an enrollment of over 12,000 students.  Click on this link for more information and to apply.

The Advanced Classes Waiver Period is now Open

The waiver period to request placement into an honors or advanced placement class that you did not qualify for in January begins on April 13th and ends on April 17th.  If you want to waiver into a class, please use this link to complete the online form.  The form expires at 4pm on April 17th.


Placement in an advanced class will be determined by 1st semester grades and whether the student has met the Fulton County minimum prerequisites for that course. Link to Fulton County minimum guidelines.

 

Students may only waiver into two classes.

Students are guaranteed a spot in the class provided they meet the county minimum guidelines and seats are available.

Georgia Tech Distance Math Dual Enrollment Info Webinar

Georgia Tech's Distance Math Program - Prospective Student Meeting 

The meeting will include:

  • Overview of the class by professor who teaches in the program

  • Presentation about the admission process by Office of Undergraduate Admission

  • Time for questions from prospective students

For students who cannot attend or for those who want to review presentations, a recording of the meeting will be available on the Distance Math web site later in the week.

Requesting Transcripts for Dual Enrollment

When you apply to a college for Dual Enrollment, you must request your transcript through www.parchment.com.  For more info on requesting transcripts, go to our transcripts page. For more info on Dual Enrollment, go to our DE page.

 

Peach State Tour - Online Info Panel for College Admissions Fall of 2021

Hosted by Georgia State, UGA, and Georgia Tech, the Peach State Tour this spring is online on April 23rd from 7:00 -8:00pm. The discussion will provide tips, insight and perspective for Georgia students, regardless of the colleges they plan to apply to, and will specifically address the impact of Covid-19 and the implications it will have on the application review on these campuses and around the country. Go to http://www.peachstatetour.org/, to register.

Registering for Online Classes

  • To take online classes fall 2020 and spring 2021, you must submit an Online Course Request Form and register online directly with the school of your choice -- Fulton Virtual or Georgia Virtual. The deadline to complete both of these steps is May 1st.  

  • Northview no longer requires that you complete a form to sign up for optional summer classes.  However, we highly recommend that you talk to your counselor beforehand to make sure that the class you plan to take is appropriate for you.  Once you have decided on a class, register online directly with the school of your choice -- Fulton Virtual or Georgia Virtual.
